EMINEM – Part of his recovery: Dealing with no love, now… Space Bound or 25 to Life?

Most popular American rapper from our time it’s, without any other question… Eminem! Seems it all started back in 1996 when Em, released his debut album Infinite, he was 24 back then so we can assume that his music has changed a lot, and we can hear that on his latest record Recovery.

This album makes a statement in Eminem’s career, because he’s now publicly letting us know about all of his “issues” and how he’s solving them, that’s why its nature could be defined as “emotional driven”. So far, he has released Not Afraid (amazing “comeback” song), Love The Way You Lie (with RiRi as a featuring artist, priceless!) and No Love (with the help of Lil’ Wayne on the mic).

All three single he has released, have been great choices, but now we’re starting to question which song will become his fourth single? Us, Eminem’s fans would like him to release every song on Recovery, but… that´s not possible (right?) so we had to choose.

Some of the songs that’ve had more popularity are: Space Bound and 25 To Life. Both amazing songs that could become hit records. So, let’s hope that Eminem’s management crew makes the right choice! (They cannot go wrong this time…). Here are those songs of which we were talkin’ about and Em’s official video for No Love, enjoy!

TAYLOR SWIFT – After all that Kanye drama, think she’s haunted so ok… let’s get back to December

Taylor Swift

One of the most recent aditions to our music library is Taylor Swift’s Speak Now, you may be askin’ why in the hell would I buy that album, but the thing is that I was reviewing the best albums of 2010 according to Rolling Stone magazine and there she was, this country girl was on the top 10, so I knew I had to check her material (I also saw Vampire Weekend, Eminem and Kanye West, but there will be another post for them).

So, we got  Speak Now on our laptops and we really weren't thinking on keeping any of the songs (except for Mine, I really like that song), but I was shocked when minutes later I was singing the chorus for Haunted on the shower, or when I was humming Innocent later on. The thing is that she has some catchy songs but some others that I’m just waiting to erase of my computer. I mean, Taylor is absolutely gorgeous but I was not in love with the whole Speak Now theme.

Some songs that I reaaaaally liked are: Speak Now, just pictured a video for that one; Innocent, it’s the one she performed at the VMA 10 right? Thought it was called Die Kanye West, I hate you, I guess I was misinformed; Haunted, I’m in love with this song, it’s intensity is overwhelming, I’d love to see her perform this one; and Mine, who knows but I love this kind of songs that have eternal chorus.

We wish Taylor Swift a lot of luck in her music career and we could say that we are happy with our purchase, she made us change our mind. So, here is the official video for Mine (an old one, I know) and our favorite song from the album called Haunted.

RIHANNA – Have you heard part two of her sadomasochistic tale?

For those luckily enough of you that had the chance to either buy the physical album or download the mp3 of Loud (legally, right?), you may be aware that there’s a continuation of Eminem’s Love The Way You Lie, where originally Rihanna was just a featuring artist, but this time she’s the protagonist.

On Loud, we can hear Love The Way You Lie (Pt. 2)(ft. Eminem) where Rihanna sings almost 90% of the time, which means that if her voice wasn’t so damn good we’d be a little pissed off, because Eminem rapping was that thing that gave life to the original track. Anyways, this song is kinda cool, since it goes even deeper into the girl’s perspective of the history, au contraire of the original, where Eminem rapped about his messed up relationship and RiRi sang about her messed up need for somebody to treat her in a bad way (Personally, we like the part 2 better).

We really doubt that Rihanna is planning on releasing this song as a single, but we thing it could be a hit on the radio, who knows? Maybe we’re just amazed by how good Rihanna sings. If you haven’t heard Love The Way You Lie (Pt. 2) buy the album Loud immediately, here’s the track and the original one also, just to remember.

NICKI MINAJ - Is who you ain't f*cking with!

Now, it's been a while since this young lady jumped into the mainstream, but just last November she finally dropped her (anticipated) debut album called "Pink Friday". I think it's important for me to mention that Hip-Hop music is not so popular in my iPod, but Nicki Minaj has made me change that decision.

Minaj is bringing her best guns with her, she's full of theatricality, she's full of good rhymes and she has a great... voice. Just imagine that some critics had compared her to a black Lady Gaga, which she didn't find ofensive considering the epicness of that comparition ( I mean, Gaga! ). So, I truly suggest you to check her material and believe you won't be dissapointed at all!

Here is one of the singles from Pink Friday, it's called "Check It Out" and you can see frontman of the Black Eyed Peas, Will-I-Am in the track as well...

Check It Out (ft. Will-I-Am) - Nicki Minaj

And here is one of my FAVORITE tracks of her album, it's "Roman's Revenge" and well, the thing is that Nicki creates a lot of alter egos to her persona and it seems that Roman Zolanski is one of those. This track is dedicated to all the hatters and we can hear a featuring from Eminem. If it wasn't full of curse words, I think we could definitely hear it on the radio. Check it out!
