Songs that should've been singles: Cloud Nine - Evanescence

Introducing a new section of this blog.. "Songs that should've been singles" and if you don't guess what is it going to be about only by reading the title.. then.. (read it again.. just joking.. no, seriously). Here I'm gonna post songs that even when had great potential as singles, the damn record labels never released them!!

This time is turn for Evanescence with their song "Cloud Nine", which is part of their latest work "The Open Door". Nine is about liberation, you can relate to this song from a lot of points of view, either when you are on an oppresive relation or if you just don't feel free to be yourself. I can really picture this one videoclip, but saddly for all of us, their fans, we will never have that.. but, since not everything is bad in life, remember their soon-to-be-released album which is just around the bend..

EVANESCENCE - When the paparazzi crosses the line...

This post is dedicated to one of the records from The Open Door, the latest Evanescence album, which i have to say was one of the best rock-metal albums of all time!! Well, the record of which i'm talking about is "Snow White Queen" and doing some research i found out that Amy Lee (the amazing singer of Evanescence) wrote this song inspired by her fear of some stalker that was frequently sending her some scary mail with some scary things written on it, so she just expressed her fear in this 4:45 minutes of glory... I really think you can feel the anguish that Amy was feeling when she wrote and recorded the song.. but, anyways it's a good record.. and here it is.. just to get our motors ready for their new album that comes on the fall of 2010!!

EVANESCENCE - Is it fall already? It isn't....!

One of my favorite bands of all time has as a singer, one of my favorite girls of all time, and her name is.. Amy Lee!! She and her friend  Ben Moody were the ones that back in 1995 dreamed about a band that would be called Evanescence and that's how they started to make their dream real. Now, a decade and a half later, Evanescence is still here but only one of their original members is still part of the band.. Amy Lee!


Even though, it's been some time since they dropped a new album (The Open Door on 2006), Evanescence hasn't finished and they've just announced that they're new album will be on stores on this fall 2010!!! I have to say, that Amy Lee is the best song writer i've ever heard and i really love the way she portrays her feelings in her lyrics. I really hope this new material is even better that their previous (Fallen & The Open Door), so.. we'll just have to wait to hear the final product...


In the meantime, her is one of the best records from Evanescence, it's called "Call Me When You're Sober" and.. well, the title pretty much explains the song.. but watch the video.. is GOOD!

And here's the latest work we've heard from them, it's a B-Side from their previous album, and it's called "Together Again".. An important fact is that they put this song out when all the Haiti incident happened and they donated all the incomes from the song to this purpose, which only makes Evanescence a greater band!!

AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL - Where are the contestants now?

This time i'll talk about Heather Kuzmich, best known as Heather from America's Next Top Model Cycle 9. She's the living example that a model should have the visual goods or the personality in order to be successful, and if they have both, then they become a super model (she has the looks... and the personality of course!). Even though she didn't make it to the final in her season, i truly believe that just by watching her pictures she should've won, but unfortunately her walk in the runway isn't as stunning (and after watching that is when Tyra Banks said that she could be a photoshoot model, instead of a "top model"), anyways... i think she's one of the best models that've been on that show and also a role model since she has autism and that hasn't stopped her. Also, is it just me or is she similar looking to Amy Lee from Evanescence? (i mean... Amy Lee = Evanescence).
